The Nor’easter that camped out here in early November did some damage to the coast. That’s the same coast where the North Carolina General Assembly approved spending $25 million of taxpayer’s money to build a state-of-the art party pier. And, it just so happens, Nags Head, where the pier is being built, is where the most damage was done. A weekly construction report from the Aquarium’s Division released after the storm stated only five feet of sand, give or take, eroded from a frontal dune where Jennette’s Pier is being constructed. Only…this time.
