House Speaker Pro Tem Rep. Dale Folwell (R-Forsyth) announced Tuesday he will enter the race for Lt. Governor. His “Dale Can Fix NC” campaign was launched in Winston-Salem.
Folwell was instrumental is passing the Woman’s Right to Know law, Ethen’s law as well as the State Pension Fund Solvency Reform Act. The Winston-Salem Republican said in December he would not run for re-election in House District 74. Folwell is facing two other Republicans in the primary campaign for Lt. Governor, Dan Forest and Tony Gurley.
The winner would face incumbent Lt. Governor Walter Dalton.
