Jay Greene is reporting on his blog about a public school in Seattle taking political correctness to new heights. In a reverential bow to gods of secularism and anti-religion, one school re-named Easter Eggs as “Spring Spheres”. Yeah that’s right – I’ll say it again — “Spring Spheres.” Whew! I’m glad to know our student’s development will not be stunted by exposure to “Easter Eggs” Does that mean students will also be protected from Deviled Eggs? I sleep better knowing secularists are working nonstop to purge the world of everything they find offensive or disagreeable. Gosh, what would happen if we did that?
Happy Easter!
Fred Thompson says the correct term is Equinox Ellipsoids anyway. Yeah, they can’t impose their seasons on me. http://twitter.com/fredthompson/status/56453853251510272
The blog post you link to points out that the story is dubious at best. It’s based on what a reporter heard in a radio interview with a teenager who claims the alleged incident happened at a school that she wouldn’t name.
So, no, it hasn’t come to this.
