With all the commentary on the significance of electing an African-American as President, why hasn't (to my knowledge) any NC media outlet picked up on the story of NC electing its first female African-American Republican to the NC House?
Or better yet, I read multiple accounts from media about how "homogeneous" crowds were at McCain or Palin rallies, yet nothing was written on the six Republican NC House candidates who were African-American.
Why the double standard from the media?
Not to mention the NC Senate GOP candidate from Wilmington with an Asian heritage or the Doctor from Stanly county that ran in a GOP primary that is originally from India.
Who is she?
Pearl Floyd from Gaston County.
