Kudos to Senator Andrew Brock (R-Davie) for filing a North Carolina version of the Paycheck Protection Act which was recently upheld by the US Supreme Court.
This bill (S 1032) would protect state employees from being pressured into signing up for payroll deductions for political activities of a labor union.
As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, SEANC SEIU Local 2008 collected in excess of $400,000 last year from state employees for political activities.
Sen. Brock was ranked as the most conservative Senator in the initial Civitas Action rankings.
The link for Civitas Action is broken.
