Sorry, just catching up on the events of last week, but here we have the State of NC once again giving away your taxpayer dollars to a billionaire. And not just any run of the mill billionaire either.
According to the NC Dept. of Commerce, your taxpayer dollars were used to give $28,000 in "incentives" to a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, owned by Warren Buffett, the richest man in the world according to Forbes magazine.
Why exactly Mr. Buffett needs $28,000 of tax dollars to do anything is beyond me, much less why it was needed to pay his company to potentially add 29 jobs over the next three years.
But if the government doesn't write a check, they don't get to put the Governor's name in a press release now do they?
