Nine layers of management and too much bureacracy. Those are some of the preliminary findings of Bain and Company's study of UNC Chapel Hill. The full video interim report is available here. The business consultant firm was hired to help the university save costs and run more efficiently in an era of declining state support.
Curiously, the study is funded by an anonymous donor. The university is not releasing information about the donor nor the cost. The silence will only likely fuel speculation about cost and the donor's true intent. UNC Trustees will receive the final report at the July meeting.
how can this not come under some public records law, this stinks to high heaven and need to get more scrutiny
