A district in which candidates from only one party have filed – even if more than one candidate has filed – is considered a "Decided" district in terms of which party will hold the seat after the November elections.
"Decided Democratic" = no Republicans have filed
"Contested Democratic" = seat is currently held by a Democrat; both Democratic and Republican candidates have filed
"Decided Republican" = no Democrats have filed
"Contested Republican" = seat is currently held by a Republican; both Democratic and Republican candidates have filed
"Open Seat" = incumbent is not running for reelection
