Julie Drinkard is Director of Development for Civitas Institute. A native of Greensboro, Julie is glad to be back in North Carolina (after eight years in D.C.) helping to remove barriers to freedom for her home state.
Julie’s career in fundraising began at the Institute for Free Speech (formerly known as the Center for Competitive Politics) where she worked as the Development Associate and then Development Manager. She has also worked for The Philanthropy Roundtable as Director of Membership and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina as the Investor Relations Manager.
She graduated from Agnes Scott College with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in English. You can usually find her on the tennis courts or hiking with her corgi, Sally.
