In an unexpected turn of events, the result of the Mark Harris–Dan McCready race in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District is now up in the air. It began with a refusal by the Board of Elections to certify the results. What it has turned into is an investigation of potential election fraud that spans multiple elections over the course of many years. This week, we’re discussing the latest information on this unfolding situation.
We’re also covering the recent decision by Treasurer Dale Folwell to call on the Department of Justice to take action against the state’s public health system, due to “anti-competitive activities.” This anti-competitive activity has prevented a decrease in medical costs and stonewalled price transparency. Since this is a taxpayer-funded benefit to state employees, it is imperative that the state know what its being billed for.
