RALEIGH – A Civitas poll of North Carolina unaffiliated voters found that Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head match up, 38-28.
Civitas President Francis De Luca said, “Unaffiliated voters indicate they are less certain about who they’ll end up voting for compared to this time in 2012. But while a majority of them have not decided on a candidate, it is clear that of the ones that have, they favor Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton and Gary Johnson.”
He continued, “All eyes should be on North Carolina unaffiliated voters, the fastest growing segment of the North Carolina electorate, and our poll shows that while compared to 2012, over half have not decided, those that have decided clearly favor Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton.” He continued, “With that being said, this voting bloc is less than enamored with either candidate of the two major parties.”
