On Friday we reported on this blog that the NC Education Lottery and Gov. McCrory seemed to be moving in different directions with regards to the Lottery budget. Now comes word from a source within the Lottery of a $60 million “reserve fund”.
Incensed? So are we. $60 million is a lot of money. State Statutes say the state auditor shall audit the Lottery annually and an independent audit is to be conducted biennially. So something doesn’t sound right.
