On September 19th Civitas and the Heritage Foundation hosted the Common Core Forum in Raleigh. The event brought together top-notch speakers and experts in the education field including Sen. Jim DeMint, President of the Heritage Foundation, North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest, Dr. Sandra Stotsky, formerly of the University of Arkansas and others. For those of you who were not able to attend the event, this week Civitas is releasing videos from the conference. Yesterday we released remarks by Sen. Jim DeMint. Revisionist history is already in the history. America is constantly described by what it has done to various minority groups rather than its greatness explained in context.
