If you are like most North Carolinians, you don't have a clue on the 2008 judicial elections. When the legislature eliminated party labels from the ballot in 2002 they purposefully removed one of the key pieces of information voters used to inform themselves when voting in judicial elections. To make your task easier in the voting booth, I have provided some handy links in the article How Do I Judge the Judges?
For an earlier explanation on this attempt to confuse North Carolina voters see the article Voters Have Difficult Time Judging Judges.
What the heck. This is an old message but nothing has changed. I am from Oregon so I asked to vote by mail and boy it was a good thing. It took me about 4 hours to research the judicial candidates. I am used to getting a voters guide with lists EVERY candidate and a statement. It is the blind leading the blind in this state! Judith H. Pec
