The nation's largest teacher's union spent more than $2.2 million in 2008 helping Beverly Perdue get elected NC's next Governor.
The updated totals come from reports filed yesterday with the NC State Board of Elections that update campaign spending through the end of the calendar year.
Disclosed on this report, the NEA spent an additional $294,745 purchasing TV ads supporting Perdue and $13,000 on polling.
This brings the NEA's total spent on Perdue's behalf to: $2,212,939.10.
So where are those snarky comments from the lefties complaining about how much "big business" was buying elections in NC?
