Gov. Perdue is set to travel to D.C. to beg for more federal dollars to bring back to North Carolina.
Gov. Beverly Perdue is making a quick trip to Washington in her hunt for federal dollars that could improve the state’s jobs picture.
Unfortunately, federal dollars won’t “improve the state’s jobs picture.” As the findings of a report recently released by the Civitas Institute, the federal stimulus package is estimated to cause up to an additional 67,000 job losses in N.C.
Furthermore, it seems that our governor just can’t wrap her mind around the fact that government can not create jobs.
Perdue will also be hard-pressed to sell “North Carolina as a good place to do business” in light of North Carolina being the only Southeastern state to raise tax rates on personal income, sales and corporations this year.

And to top it off, she used a taxpayer funded state airplane to fly to DC and back today. So we’re getting hit 2x.
