A dozen school board members gathered today in Raleigh to attend the Civitas School Board Training. The Training featured Kaye McGarry, Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education; Jason Kay, Attorney for NCICL; and Buddy Collins from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. The training was open to all school board members state-wide and is part of Civitas’ ongoing effort to train, educate and inform elected officials.
