Data from State Board of Elections ftp site. In anticipation of the increase in absentee voting, especially with one-stop voting beginning October 14, Carolina Transparency is now presenting the statistics by voted “accepted” ballot and includes precinct data.
The updated absentee numbers are:
Total Requests = 24,025
Dem = 8,229
Rep = 9,360
Una = 6,398
Lib = 38
Total Ballots Returned “Accepted” = 1,202
Dem = 442
Rep = 543
Una = 213
Lib =4
All voted ballots returned to the County Boards of Elections that appear to have all the required information are given the status “Accepted” If there is a problem with a ballot, other terms are applied to the records. Today’s problem ballots include:
